A week ago, my bf asked me to accompany him to buy L'Arc-en-Ciel's concert ticket around Cikini. Cikini is like an old town that has it's own beauty. Whenever I think about Cikini, I always think about vintage thingy and laid back moments. On our way back from Cikini, we passed this road called Jalan Surabaya. My grandma (and mom) used to live there back at the 70's. Jalan Surabaya is now a well known shopping street, the little shops are selling antique stuffs, from jewellery, music instruments, decorative plates, vintage Canon/Lubitel cameras, ethnic furnitures, you can barely find every antique stuffs in Jalan Surabaya. Me and R decided to take a walk (I actually forced him haha). Here are some snaps I took that day :D

Tip: At the first time, the sellers are offering high price (that are sometimes too expensive), so don't forget to bargain. R bought an antique clock for Rp 150,000 which was offered for Rp 400,000!

Just got home from a double date with my bf and our friends. We finally went to Kedai, a little cafe around Kemang. I've been wanting to go there since a long time and I'm so happy that I finally made it today. The cafe is beyond lovely, pretty & vintage interiors that are mesmerizing my senses. I loooooove it so much!! The food is pretty good too, I had Ayam Segerrr, which is a sour chicken soup. It tasted so fresh and delish. Oh I love Kedai so much, sure I'll be back there! :D

Fizzy Fuzzy Hair

Last week I was invited to a bloggers luncheon with Dove at KOI Kemang. I was excited and planned to go, but then I cancelled it. I was exhausted and stuck my bed until noon. Too bad I couldn't come, seems like they really had fun at the luncheon.

Anyways, Dove is having this new shampoo variant called Dove Nourishing Oil Care, a series of hair treatment product that comes with almond oil & coconut oil extracts. My eye caught this interesting topic for the luncheon, “Managing your dry and unmanageable hair”. Oh it sounds so me, my hair is t-h-a-t dry. Especially after I wash my hair, it becomes unmanageable and so stiff :(

The product comes in a complete package, shampoo, conditioner, daily treatment conditioner, treatment mask and nourishing oil care serum. Seems like I'm gonna try this new variant of Dove soon. A friend of mine had already try it and she said that her uber dry hair was so moist after using Dove Nourishing Oil Care. Weeheee can't wait to try it!

I am very grateful of all the things that happened to us, the happy and the sad things.

I'm happy for the problems too.

Because I am so sure without those problems, we wouldn't be like now.

I'm happy that we argue a lot, that we talk about our likes and dislikes.

I'm so happy about us.

I feel that I miss you in every single day.

Not to mention that we have spent nearly 24 hours day time on the last weekend.

Last Saturday I was invited to a blogger luncheon with Dove. I really wanted to come but I was exhausted and felt so not energetic. I ended up went to my bf's house to spent an afternoon with him and watched some dvds. I just realized that the last time I watched a dvd was like more than a year ago hahaha. We were planning to buy some new movies, but the rain was pouring hard that we couldn't go out, so we watched some old movies and ordered a pizza. It was actually feels so good to watch a movie with him, so relaxing. After 3 movies, we decided to go out and have some dinner. I got my period cramps that night so I wasn't in the mood to go to a hectic place, so we went to a restaurant and continue the talk at a coffee shop near my house.

We got in the coffee shop at around 9 pm and went home at 2.30 am. I feel so blessed to have a long talk with him that night. We were talking about us, life, work, and us again. He is like my best friend, my tutor, my financial planner, my brother, my technologeek, my personal advisor, everything! :)

Here are today's happy things:
1. I finally upload the new collections for Yadda Yadda! Check it out on the blog :)
2. So happy to use my iPhone's camera, the quality is beyond expectation.
3. Having Camera+ app on my iPhone is like having corn flakes cereal with cold milk in the morning. Happiness!
4. Woke up so late, its the magic of Sunday hihihi

Day 3, 4, 5, 6 of Happy Post

This is my very first black and white illustration and I'm pretty happy with the result! Now let's continue the 365 happy post.! Here are the day 3, 4, 5 and 6 :p

Day 3:
1. It was my first day of working at the new office. Well its not a completely new one, the other division of the company invited me to work with them, soon after I resigned. New job & new responsibilities, new journey of me :)
2. It turned out so well, my bad feelings were swooshed away. My new bosses are very kind to me.
3. Went to my first meeting with my brand new client, even though I was only a listener at the meeting but it was pretty nice.
4. Had lunch at Pepenero and tried their Lasagna. It turned out not so well, but the taste of their tomato paste and melted cheese were really good.
5. Had a bite of their penne-mozarella-something, oh God I'm so cheesy in facing all kinds of cheese, especially melted mozarella.
6. Had their pistachio ice cream for dessert and I must say that it was one of the best ice cream I ever tasted.
7. Met a lot of new people at the office and tried so hard to remember their names :D
8. Went home so early, around 4.30 pm
9. Saw Foster The People's poster like every where :)
10. Some people recognise me well, even though we haven't officially known each other yet. Its the power of socializing!

Day 4:
1. Had an early meeting with the client. Thought it will took around 2 hours from home to the client's office, turned out it took only 30 minutes. LOL.
2. Had chicken sandwich, french fries and extra cheese sauce at Wendy's for lunch
3. Felt so grateful for staying inside Wendy's while a hurricane was happening so bad
4. Went back earlier to the office and met more people and found a girl with the same interest as mine. Yay!
5. Received some order for my Curious and Yadda Yadda :)

Day 5:
1. Its Friday! This fancy day always make me happy!
2. Stay at the office all day, no meetings, which is a good thing. I got the chance to greet more people and say hi to the old ones :)
3. My boss smiled to me!
4. Some people said that I'm getting skinnier hahaha
5. Ate some yummy yellow gummy bears
6. Had lunch with the new colleagues :)
7. Met my high school friends (finally!). Soooo happy to spend the rest of my Friday with them!

Day 6:
1. Started this not-gloomy-but-lovely Saturday with an early phone call with my bf. He's currently sick but needed to go to his office because he's in the middle of an urgent project. Oh I hope you'll get better soon my dear!
2. Finished an artwork for a client, she's so happy with the result. Means I'm happy too!
3. Finished a black and white artwork as shown on the top of this post
4. Spent the day working and stumblin with my laptop

1. Have been so productive since I woke up at 6 this morning. Proud of ma self!

4. Heard a good news from a friend that she got accepted for her first job.

NYE & The Premature Bday Surprise

Its the 2nd day of the year and I feel like.. just normal haha. Don't know why, but I haven't feel the 'new year' mood. How was your nye? I was just fine, went to my bf's friends house and spent the nite with them. Actually it feels more to my bf's birthday only rather than birthday and new year. Maybe I need to make a list of 2012 goals immediately to get the new year mood. Anyway, yesterday was R's 22nd birthday. I planned a surprise and it was ruined pretty much by R him self hahhaha. The plan was depended on R's nye plan, and he hadn't make his mind until 6 pm which caused my stress on that day. Finally R went to his friend's house and asked me to come, I lied to him that I was on my way to my aunt's house and that I'll be going to meet him by my own self, no need to pick me up, which in fact I was already at his friend's house. Right after he told me that he'll be at his friend's house, I went to R's house to decorate his room and make a birthday surprise there. The plan went well, we finished the decorations and on the way back to R's house until he texted me that he was going back to his house because he didn't feel well. I was panic and stress out hahaha and just like what you might already thought, he find out the birthday surprise, before his birthday. So it was a premature birthday surprise ahahah what a shame. But he was still happy though. Oh well, happy birthday my dearest and favourite boy, Fachrudi Saleh. I wish you all happiness in every aspects of live. I love you :)

*no pictures for the birthday surprise because the picts are still in my phone and the phone died since yesterday :p

Because she can make every girls looks so pretty in her pictures, some kind a magical photographer. In her blog, I read about happiness. You can read the full post here. So I will start my own daily list of happiness and some pictures of it, and post it to my blog. I'm thinking about making a 365 project of happiness and daily pictures. Hi guys, happy December 31st! Its the last day of the year, how do you feel about it? I'm feeling just normal hehe. 2011 was a year of learning, from working life, love life, business issues, etc. I really thank God for showing and dropping me in some cases, ups and downs. Lately I've been away from blogging and tweeting, I just don't feel like doing it. I tried to write some posts but it ended up to be another draft. I hope you guys okay with that hihihi. This is my first trial using blogger iPhone app to write a post. I'm too excited to turn my laptop on and write easily from the web page. I WIN AN IPAD 2 FROM GOGIRL ARTWORK COMPETITION! Omygoshhh my hands are still shaking while I'm typing this. The announcement should be a week ago, so my excitement was a bit decreasing. And I told my self that its okay if I dont win this competition, at least I have did my best on the artwork and asked people to vote me as much as I can. This afternoon while I was working with my laptop, I dragged myself to the twitter page and saw a tweet from @gogirlmagazine that says they will announce the winner soon. My heart pounds like its about to jump out. I stared at gogirl's twitter page and hoping to see '1 new tweet" icon. Pop, 1 new tweet appeared and I was about to scream while clicking it. They announced the winner based on the highest vote, which is @yulianzone. Congrats buddy, I knew you got tons of votes hahaha. Then my heart beat was escalating, in the other hand I was on a YM chat with my bf, monitoring this announcement. Until he said "YOU WIN HONEY YOU WIN!!!". And I was like no way! Because I haven't seen any new updates from them. I instantly refresh the page and got freezed and screaming when I saw the winner picked by Gogirl is Dinda Puspitasari. Hooorrraaaaaay! Alhamdulillah! Im soooo happy, thanks for the support guys, much thanks! :)

Lovely Days

In the past 6 days I wasn't really focus in what I'm doing. So many things were left unfinished, I was distracted by two happy things, being one of the Gogirl artwork competition semifinalist and freelancing in a cooking project for a friend. I really thank you for the votes, much much much appreciated! :) I really hope I can win this competition. Today should be the winner announcement day but I don't know why Gogirl magz hasn't announce it yet until now. Oh and for those who asked about my cooking pictures on Twitter/Facebook, no I wasn't in a cooking class. I was working for a friend's project, it was really fun. We were working with Chef Deden, who is a master in cooking, to cook 40 recipes in 6 days! Pheeww that was tiring but fun at the same time. Chef Deden, who is the executive chef at The Park Lane Hotel, is really humble and funny. He shared a lot of things, from cooking to lessons about life. It was so fun to spend a tight six days with him and the team. I took a lot of pictures and ready to share it with you all but I think its better to divide it into a few posts. So here are the eye candy from the kitchen, from the food photographer's magazine, Donna Hay.

I thought there is only Martha Stewart who has the magic hands in decorating food and stuffs but hey, Donna Hay got a big thing here :)

I lost my shoes and I hate it

Remember about my shoes? Of how much I adore my leather brogues? If you read this blog since a year ago, you must known that I'm a big fan of shoes, especially brogues. I used to have a pointy one, bought in Singapore and it was broken around 8 months ago. Its really hard to find a perfect brogues around Jakarta, just when I like one shoes, they don't have the size. Fortunately I found my perfect brogues on May, when I was in Hong Kong. I found this perfect shoes that fits my size. I wore it a lot and took many pictures of it. Even made a blog post about it. Until last month I can't find my brogues in the shoes rack. I look around the house, even asked my mom and dad to help me find the shoes. But the result is big zero, I lost my brogues. This is really sad. Where are you? :(

And so umm how you doing guys? Guess I'm a big dumber in making a blog opening phrase. In the past two days, I've been using minyak kayu putih a lot. I don't know what's happening but seems like my stomach ulcer is doing something bad in there. When I was working with Tatiana (my dear laptop) suddenly I felt so queasy and about to throw up. Mom said that I'm working too long with my laptop, hmm probably it is. But all I can do now is eating biscuits every time I feel hungry, to avoid the ulcer gas coming out. I hate being weak like this :/

Oh well, I've been following some of my favourite Lookbook-ers' blogs lately and that makes me happy. I don't need to go to Lookbook.nu to check out their latest outfit. Below is one of my fave blogger, Willabelle Ong from Pale Division.

Garage sale! Finally I clean up my stuffs in my closet since I can no longer put my new stuffs in it. Oh boy, I'm a bad shopper. So yeaaa finally I made this online garage sale called Yadda Yadda. Branded and unbranded stuff, from below 50 thou to above 250 thou Rupiahs, all in good condition. Forever 21, Zara, Topshop, Club Monaco, GAP, you name it :)

Today was a hard day. I feel like the world is against me. There's a lot of things going on in my mind right now, but I feel better because I just talk to my parents and my boyfriend as well and tell them what I'm feeling.

1. Everything happened so fast

As we grow up, we're being pushed to make big decisions for our self and take all the risk. Its not easy, trust me. For me, being mature is not about the age. Its more to how you cope with the situation and make quick actions as a response. You gotta think clear and ask your parents, lovers and friends to make the greatest action. Before you even realize, you already did an action. Being fast is what you need.

2. The world is not a play land, its actually a mean world

As you made your decision, you take all the risks including people's comments. Words are like two sided metals, one side is blunt while the other one is sharp as a knife. People tend to say something based on their perception, without knowing the truth, and sadly you can't change that. Negative comments are the sharpest knife. You have two actions to beat the comments, one is to be silent and just go. The second one is proofing those people that you are that great.

3. Be strong

In this mean world, you gotta have a strong heart. If you made a mistake, apologize. If they didn't accept your apology, then that's it. We have no time to please everyone. Plug your ear with happy voices, close your eyes with peaceful scenes and talk with your greatest smile.

4. Sometimes you gotta be bitchy to beat the bitches

But sometimes being strong is not enough, because some people were made to hurt your feelings and bring you down. If you don't do something, you won't be able to stand strong on your feet. Say thank you to those haters and proof them with your greatest achievement. Make them pissed by showing them that their negative comments are your strongest encouragement. You did something great while they were busy commenting your actions. Actually they are your biggest fan, they got all eyes on you. That's why they always commenting on your actions :)

After talking with my parents and R, I feel a lot better. Thank you R for lifting up my mood and feelings tonight, you're the best in it :)

Actually some things are still sticking on my mind and they're a bit scares me. Oh well, I'll cry my self to sleep and hope that my dreams will swoosh it all away. Be happy and positive, have faith in your self. I wish you all have a great sleep and the sweetest dream tonight. Hope you get up in the brightest mood, good night :)

This weekend was superb. Last Friday I got the invitation to Dewi Fashion Knights, its a closing show for Jakarta Fashion Week 2012. Big thanks to Redita Soumi, the one who gave me the invitation. So I grab my sheer maxi skirt from my CURIOUS and anything that looks match with it and top it up with my H&M round hat. We arrived at the venue a bit late since the traffic was awful, we forgot that it was Friday and seems like every one was heading to Pacific Place. Luckily the show was started a bit late too.

Five designers were selected to be this year's Dewi Fashion Knights, they are Sebastian Gunawan, Auguste Soesastro, Sally Koeswanto, Sapto Djojokartiko and Tex Saverio. The show was opened by Sebastian Gunawan, his designs are so spicy and chic. Tribal prints. red, yellow, folded edges, fringes and unique wedges.

Auguste Soesarto's design are his tribute to the earth. He said that luxury is about simplicity and the quality of the material. But I personally think that it is too plain hehehehehe :p

Sally Koeswanto's design are very sexy and playful. I really love the low back cutting on the dresses. The oriental touch is very strong, showed on the details. Cheongsam, lace, rhinestones, peacocks, leather shorts, metallics..

Sapto Djojokartiko, his designs are epic. The model came out with this empty eyes, long straight hair, face mask, long dresses that looks like a kebaya, Indonesian traditional dress with lots of awesome and shining details.

Tex Saverio. I was so happy that I can finally saw his show. His designs are pieces of arts, full of imagination. His collection was inspired from one of the verses in the holy book, it tells of wars being fought between good and evil nature which he then presented with various ornaments which made from a variety of material and Batik. I saw a lot of goldish and haute couture details on the dresses like a little golden angel on the shoulder dress.

Cotton Ink - Fall 2011

So I met with the young ladies from Cotton Ink, Ria Sarwono and Carline Darjanto, at KOI Kemang a few weeks ago. We were doing a project for my fellow client and they were one of the inspiring icons. We held a video shooting at that time, kak Ria and kak Carline bring some of their upcoming collection which I liked a lot. They said that the clothes that they wore for the shoot were not being published yet at the web store. Surprisingly, they launched the latest Fall 2011 collection by the time the website was on again. So here are some pictures from the lookbook..

This polkadot top is really catchy, I usually don't fall for polkadots because it looks silly. But this time the polkadot is really genius for layering it with a white cotton, which looks so playful. They actually have the long sleeve one, but I prefer this sleeveless shirt. I always have a thing with sleeveless.

This circular shirt is really cute, it reminds me of a poncho. I wish they had a brown for this.

This is the shirt I talk on the beginning of this post. Kak Ria was wearing this shirt on the shoot. I love the navy blue one a lot! Pair it with black legging, platform shoes and a vintage bag :D

I actually have ordered this one hehehe. It was sold out one time before I did the order. And it went sold out (again) soon after I ordered it. Pheww, seems like this is the best seller, thank God I am now waiting for it to come to my house :D

This post was supposed to be a scheduled post for this Saturday, but I feel like posting it now.

Today I went to Starbucks to finish some tasks related to my projects. If you read my previous post, you might be wondering the little note on the last pict, a good bye note from one of my boss at the office. Yes, I quit from my job as a digital account executive after thirteen months of unforgettable bitter sweet memories. It was my first job, I don't count my experience as a store supervisor because it was only lasted for four weeks. So yes, it was my first job in communication world. It was really fun and full of knowledge. It gained my life skill for sure. As a newbie, I was so lucky that I got big chances related for what I was doing back then. I used to have a career plan, what I wanted to be in 2 or 3 years since I joined the company or what kind of projects do I wanted to get involve in, etc. But again, as a human, we can only make plans, try to work as hard as we can and pray to God. Ask God to give us some guidance for us to walk along the right path. God only wants the best for us, that's why God have their own plan which we don't know what are the main points in it. Sometimes we cry over something that doesn't go as how we want it to be, that's sucks, I know. Just remember that if you already give all your efforts to reach something you really want, and you got nothing at the end, that means God has something else for you. Something better for you to walk along the right path :)

Now talking about my projects. Since I am currently a self employed, I mostly work from home. And it's actually feels reaaaaalll goooooooodddd. Not that I'm complaining, I love what I was doing back then. But now I can make plans and execute some of it instantly, no need to wait for office works to be done hahaha. I'm happy and feel so grateful that I got the chance to try everything that I wanted to be. I feel like going back to the field (read: agency works) by early next year. So this is the best time for me to make big plans and set up all things before I get back to agency works. Oh I love my life, thank you my dear God. I love you ♥♥

Since I haven't own one, so I made this artwork :p

I'm a big fan of Lomo and other plastic cameras. Even thou I aint a die hard collector but I have some of those quirky camera, one by one, edition by edition. I love to follow my interest in camera and film pictures. I don't know why, but I fell in love since the first time I saw Lomo. I can't describe how it feels when shooting a picture using a Lomo and guessing how the result will be, all I know is I enjoy it a lot. And my heart fell again for the nth times when I saw this retro thing, La Sardina Pattern edition.

Other than it's cool case, this La Sardina Pattern also has my favourite features like wide angle lens, multiple exposure capabilities, bulb setting for night time, vivid colours and vignetting effect! La Sardina Pattern edition has 4 variants, the Cubic, Quadrat, Mobius and Domino. The four of them are so cute to have, but in my opinion, I must say that Quadrat and Domino has win the competition for the coolest pattern. Imagine a sunny day when you are ready to snap some pictures, wearing a match outfit as your La Sardina Pattern. That must be so fun :D

Hi guys, sorry for abandoning this blog for a moment. I'm currently really busy doing some projects. I plan to launch my CURIOUS new collection by the end of this November, so now I'm preparing all the stuff, from the quality control to the marketing strategy. I want this to be something big, not just 'another clothing line'. At the same time, I am now doing a thrifted project that will be sold online too. Everything is under control, I just need my self to take it easier. You know, I'm a kind of person who will do anything and put all efforts to reach my goal. That's a good thing, but you need to manage your expectations too, right? So umm, see you on the next post. I really hope I can do a daily update to this blog, because it is one of my goals. I hate blogs with lack of updates hahahaha *smooch*

Yesterday I had a dinner with my office mate, Edith, we decided to go to Sushi Tei to fill up our sushi crave that night. After eating some platters of sushi rolls and watching the lobsters in front of us, we began to talk about random things just like usual. Edith told me about her childhood when she was in a marching band squad, did the color guard role and lifted up the level as she became the mayorette. She just realized that since she was in elementary school, she always has goals in whatever she does. Just like when she joined the marching band squad, she told her self that she wanted to be a majorette. So she did everything with her passion to reach the goal. The good thing is that she keeps on living that kind of thinking until now. We all need to have goals in whatever we do. Because if we don't have goals then we don't know where we are heading to and what we are trying to achieve.

Edith also told me about her old friend, a guy whose now no longer closes to her. She and her old friend went to the same school with her since elementary school until college. But they just got along as a best friend in college, they previously didn't really know each other. As she told me her story, I remembered about my old friend in jr high school. At that time, MIRC is like a facebook. I used it a lot in my spare time to chat with my friends from other school, until one day I had a chat with this boy named Pale (pa-lé). From the first time we had a chat, he was like an old friend to me. We talked about everything, school, friends, movies and all trending issues at that time. We had a long phone call almost every time. He had a girlfriend, he told me about her too. But too bad we only met each other for like once or twice (I forgot). He is a nice boy and really fun to be friends with. As we got in high school (we didn't went to the same school), our chat freq was decreasing. Until I realized that I no longer had a chat or a phone call with him. I had never sign in to my MIRC too. I don't know where he is now or what uni did he went to, but I'm really curious about him. I wish I remember his full name so I can search him on Facebook. Well Pale, if you read this post, how are you buddy? :)

The necklace is from my Pretty Odd, the La Fleur collection. It is actually feels great when people said good things about this outfit, its like an appreciation to my works :)

R gave me a surprise by showing up in my room at around 12 am on my birthday. I was just fell asleep for one hour when my bed were moving abnormally. He was holding a cake with lots of strawberries on top, turned out it was my favourite cheese cake. I spelled my wishes silently and began to blow the candle. I was so happy and grateful. Thank you mom, dad, my sister and especially R :)

Too bad I have no pictures to share related to my birthday, the only picture was in my old iPhone. Yes, I got a new iPhone as a birthday present for my self. It feels really good to give your self a reward :)

And just woke up from a 14 hours sleep hahaha. I was very tired yesterday, walked like an athlete during my trip in Singapore. Overall the trip was fun, I finally visited Universal Studios Singapore. Last year when I visited USS, the ticket was sold out for the next 3 days haha but not this time, because my bf has already bought it online before we went to Singapore. Oh yea I met Clara and kak Diana at the airport, they were going to Singapore too, they were invited by Singapore Science Centre (if I was not wrong). It sounds like fun, too bad we had different flights.

Went to Merlion park, shopped around Orchard and Bugis, rode Cylon at Universal Studios, it was all fun! Have a lot to share to you in blog posts, but I will continue the post soon, my eyes are still sleepy hehe. See you! :)

I really like Burberry Prorsum's collection for Spring 2012, looks tough and sophisticated at the same time. The colours are also lovely, it awaken me up for not using black too much. Because apparently dark colours are not only black and grey.

I've been wanting a creme trench coat, but of course I can't afford Burberry hahaa oh well, who doesn't love their signature trench coat?

I have a similar skirt like this. Maybe its time to wear it again.

I really like this dress, the shoulder pad makes it perfect. Somehow the prints reminds me of batik, really cool.

Speaking about shoes, I like to wear high heels because it gives me the proportional look (my legs are pretty big). But I can't stand wearing stilleto for more than 2 hours. That's why I prefer wedges or chunky platforms instread of those sexy-feet-killing heels. Oh yea this espadrilles wedges looks so sweet and comfortable. For me, espadrilles goes along with whatever your outfit is.

Another wedges. Aaaaaa! I really love this one! For me, wedges with printed heels are like chocolate ice cream with almond sprinkles!

It feels like a long time since I didn't post any good artwork. Staying at home for a week do have positive things to learn. Learn how to make a better artwork and how to use wacom in such a comfortable way. I'm getting better in using wacom, yeay! I really love to colour my artwork with wacom, its like colouring with your own hands and marker. Thank youuuu R for the wacom :D :D

Just watched Taylor Swift's THS on E! channel and I must say that she is a real smart young lady. I knew that she got lots of grammy in a very young age. I knew that lots of people adores her music, even my college friends played her song a lot in the car every time we went somewhere. But I never knew that she is so brilliant. There was this story in THS that stuck up in my mind, it is about her ability in writing songs. In junior high school, she started to like country music. Her friends thought that she's some kind of weird for liking country music, they started to leave her alone whenever she sits around them. Facing this bad thing doesn't let Taylor down. She went home and write all her feelings into songs and beautiful melodies. She said if something bad happened to you, you gotta make something good out of it. With that attitude, she became a successful singer as she is now.

Talking about success, I remember about Steve Jobs. Since his death last Friday, lots of people post his stories and quotes, it was all very inspiring. One thing that I remember a lot is his speech. Steve Jobs never graduated from university, he got dropped out from his first year. He got nothing to do and didn't know what to do for the next. He decided to stay in his friend's dorm and got into classes that he didn't supposed to. His life was very poor at that time. One day, he got his eyes on the uni's announcement posters that has beautiful hand written on it. He heard about a calligraphy class and decided to join that class because he thought that he could learn how to make good typography like san serif. And he did. Ten years later, he started to build the first Macintosh computer, the first computer with beautiful typography. If he never dropped out, he would have never dropped in the calligraphy class, and mac might not have the wonderful typography like they do now. Thanks to Mr. Jobs for all his inventions, great great inventions. Rest in peace, Steve :)

Summarizing Taylor's and Jobs' stories I wrote above, its all about how you get up from your darkest condition and take a step forward for a successful phase of life. You might think that it is your lowest condition, that you have no hope left and even worse no one is supporting you. You just need to have faith in yourself and remember that you're not alone. You are together with your knowledge. Use your knowledge as its best and create something that no one ever think before :)

Hey hey happy Sunday guys :)

I'm now enjoying the weather in my mom's room. The weather is too nice to be missed. And since I have no window in my room, I temporarily moved to my mom's. So umm as you can see that there is a major change in my blog and I haven't officially announce it. Its pretty weird to see my new blog title and layout, I haven't get used to it hihihi.

In these past few months I feel that my blog is no longer representing me, despite the lack of post and artworks I blogged, every time I type my blog address I feel like (honestly) a bit ashamed. Its like the blog title and address are too loud and not represents my self at all, well maybe it was, back at the time when I started this blog. The Fruit Machine name were taken from The Ting Tings' song, Fruit Machine. I was a big fan of them (until now) and when I decided to make a blog I was totally clueless about the blog title. Then I grabbed The Ting Tings' album cover and saw this "Fruit Machine" song on the back. I instantly typed on the blog title column. Hahahaha silly isn't it? Yea yea that's me and my Fruit Machine :)

Two days ago, when I was laying on my bed, I began thinking about my blog, that I should do something to it. I was thinking about the layout, it needs to be cleaner, the links should be gathered in one page, not on the home page's side. Then I started thinking about the title, I want it to represents me more, not too childish, nor mature. Then I list down all things that I like and try to figure out what will be the best title for my blog. Out of no where, "take a look" popped up in my mind and I liked it a lot (haha again, random things). Its like two persons are talking and one of them say "Hey take a look at this blog, she got something!"

So here I welcome you guys to take a look at my blog. Lastly, a blog post without an artwork is like a banana split ice cream without a cherry on top. Here is my latest artwork, I call it "The Girl With The Cherry Lips". This is my first artwork using a wacom (thanks R for borrowing it to me). I have not get used to wacom, its pretty hard to make the linings, need to practice more. But I love it when it gets to the colouring process. I'm like a little kid who plays with water colour, a digital water colour with hundreds of brushes :)

Its another Saturday, another weekend to be spent. My weekend won't be the same as usual, I'm sick and this is my 3rd day of being sick. Last Wednesday at the office, I felt so unwell. I usually took my body signals as nothing, but that time it was different. I couldn't sit up straight, its like my bones has lost the power to hold my body. Then I took permission from my bosses to go home earlier. At home, it was getting worse. I could do nothing but sleeping and thicken the blanket and my jackets. On the next day, I went to the doctor and told all the symptom. The doctor said that I'm suffering from complication diseases, low blood pressure, ulcer, para typhus and probably a liver disease. I was really shocked. Right after that, I went to a lab to check out my blood. The results said that I had a typhus and so the doctor recommended me to have a full rest at home, in 8 days. Hmm.. Maybe this is what I need to pay for all the business I had in office. This is the way God tells me to have a rest. A silent way of how my body screams for a rest. So here it goes, 8 days :)

Being at home simply forced me to watch tv (besides browsing on my laptop for sure), because the doctor said that I must not go anywhere until I completely recovered from this typhus. I don't really like to watch local tv, so I watch the cable tv instead. But I'm really curious about Kompas TV, people said that it is a great channel. Is it? Any of you have watched Kompas Tv? Anyways, I lately watch Fashion Tv a lot and feel so grateful that I stay home at the right time hahaha the tv shows are all about fashion week. Yeay! I feel so happy seeing those spring colours, super pretty! My favourites are Betsey Johnson's :)

I have never like green dresses because basically I hate green outfits. But when I saw this lime green dress, ...*sigh* Together with the shoes, make up, hair do, accessories, this dress is too cute to be true!

I always love slouchy outfit, just like this sheer cardigan. Plus, its a black! :p

Look at that polka socks and the shoes. The white bow makes it perfect.

Super cool trench coat!

The mini dresses are so fun and cute. I rarely like bright outfits, but Betsey Johnson has no reasons for not to be liked! :)

Here comes the details.. I love the side swept hair, the big waves makes a great combination. The plastic pink lipstick looks so fresh, lately I found red lipstick almost everywhere. The earrings, this is a big sign that thunder earrings will be a big hit in 2012. The necklace is also refreshing, silver is the new black. I'm so enuff with goldish accessories :p

Since I was in high school, I have this big dream in mind: to own a coffee shop. I love coffee and I love to chill out and relaxing in a coffee shop. And this is how I want it to be..

I want it to have a big window that lets the street walker to see what's inside. My cafe atmosphere will invites them to come in and order a cup of hot coffee, especially in rainy days. As they open my cafe door, they will hear a song that comforts their ears and souls.

They can read the menu on the chalk board near the cashier. I'll write the daily promo on it to attract more customer teehee :p

I want people to smile before they drink the coffee. You can order some words or even a phrase to be appeared on the cappuccino foam. I want people to express their feelings through my coffee.

Not only hot coffee, you can also order cold drinks in my cafe, like this giant glass of oreo milkshake with cute stripey straw.

I want people to be comfortable in my cafe, I want them to feel their home in it. So I'll serve you my best cappuccino in a homey printed mug.

Besides coffee, my cafe will also available to fill up your hungry tummy with the delicious finger food, sweets and deserts. Put your order at the cashier and wait for 10 minutes. I'll bring you the order with a little note beside the plate, "Eat me, I'm yummy!"

My cafe will serve you like a loyal customer, you can sit all day in my cafe. Spend your afternoon with a cup of hazelnut latte while browsing some inspiring websites with your devices, my cafe has a high connection wifi!

Clean walls painted in creme or off whites and decorated with vintage polaroids and framed artwork. My dear customer, I can put your polaroids on my cafe walls if you want to.

I would love to see your smiles while holding my coffee cups :)

You can never get bored in my cafe, I put a lot of interesting books and magazines at the corner rack.

I will also put some quotes that invites you to smile and say "this coffee shop is very nice, I'm so sure to come back here next week with my friends"

FINALLY I HAD MY VACATION! :D

If you followed my tweets, you must known that 2 days ago I went to Pulau Seribu with Rudy and some uni friends. It was a very short vacay (2 days, 1 night) but I enjoy it much! Because I've been wanting to go to a beach so bad. We went there in backpacker way, left home at 5am and took a cab to Muara Angke (this took around 100k by Blue Bird). Then we took a boat, its a big and traditional boat (no air conditioner, no seats number, just throw your self in the deck and sleep :p). It cost me 30k and took 2 hours to Pulau Pramuka. I tell you guys to get your seat at the top of the boat, not in the deck.
At around 9 am, we arrived at Pulau Pramuka and rent a hostel, 300k per night (2 king size beds, 2 bath rooms, 1 tv, 1 water dispenser, 1 fan and 1 air conditioner). It was pretty nice, only 2 minutes to the beach. We had a rest for a while and left to Pulau Semak Daun and Pulau Air at around 1 pm. We learnt how to do snorkeling at Pulau Semak Daun (we rent the snorkeling equipment for 30k). Pulau Semak Daun is a small island with no house, only trees and the beach, but you can build a tend there. After a while, we sailed to a deeper sea, put our snorkeling stuffs and jump to the deep blue sea. It was my first snorkeling experience and I love it soooooooo much! The corals, the fish, the clear and salty water, the sun, everything. We spent the day by snorkeling around the sub coral area and end the day by watching sunset at Pulau Air. Pulau Air is an artificial island, the real island is only 5 hectares and got widen by the gov. I don't know exactly how big Pulau Air is and why they widen the island. But if you come to Pulau Air, aahh *exhale*.. Its just so beautiful. There's an area that surrounded by 3 artificial islands, the water is warm and crystal clear. You can swim from island to island, play with the soft sands and enjoy the sunset. It was really beautiful.
After that, we got back to Pulau Pramuka where we stayed for a night. In the morning, we sailed back to another sub coral area to snorkel again. This time, the biota were more various, more colorful and (for me) a bit thrilling. The corals were so close with my feet, even thou I wore a snorkel fit but I was really scared that my feet would accidentally touch the sea urchin, because the sea urchin was THAT much. But thank God nothing happened except my arms got jelly fish stings, but that's okay. We didn't spent much time because we need to buy our seats to get back home. Fortunately we still got Lumba-Lumba boat seats, a pretty good big boat, with air conditioner, tv, VIP class and ofcourse limited seats. It was 32k to Marina Ancol and took 3.5 hours. Hmm.. That's all from me now. Even thou it was a very short trip but I'm really happy for it. Psstt.. My skin is soooo ~~dark~~ tanned right now! :O

I'm so into vintage images, plastic cameras and heart warming photograph. I really love to browse a lot of pretty blogs out there and enjoying their posts. Two blogs I love the most are Daydream Lily and ♥Much Love♥. In this post, I'm gonna show you how pretty ♥Much Love♥ is..

Every time I visit her blog, I always have this new ideas in my mind. Her blog has inspired me much.

So what are you guys up to? How was the weekend? I went to my friend's house on Sat, met my high school friends. I was the only of them who barely join them in events, which is very sad. But I was happy that yesterday I finally met all of them and shared a lot of stories. I was really surprised and happy to know that some of my friends has made great achievements in college, like being sent to Japan and Poland for international student conferences, became the third winner of Asia Pacific research competition, being one of the delegates from Indonesia to join the world competition in Paris and got both Master and PHD scholarship to study chemicals in States. I'm sooo proud of them :)

Tomorrow is the 22nd day of fasting in this Ramadhan month. I can say nothing than time flies really fast. It feels like Ramadhan was just begin in a few days, but now its 10 days away to Eid! Gosh, I really wish Ramadhan month can stays longer so I can pray more and more and moooore.

Btw we're in the end of August, that means 4 months to 2012. I have this idea about end year resolution. You know, we used to make a new year resolution, but in the middle of the year we just forget what are the resolutions we stated before. I think this is a good way to make yourself passionate towards to 2012 (because sometimes end year works are sucks hahaha). So set up your goals, don't make it hard, because the simple ones are the best. And don't forget to write down the tactics to reach your goals.

Mine will be..

1. Learn how to cook, especially cakes like cupcakes, cake pops, lava cakes and Nutella mug cake (the first thing I need to do is to buy an oven)

2. Read Al-Quran at least twice a week (you can do it every weekend, Dinda!)

3. Do exercise (sit up and take a walk from the bus shelter, every morning)

4. Eat more fruits, drink more mineral water and less caffeine!

So what's yours? Oh, do you guys still remember about the 30 Days Drawing Challenge? I think I fail the challenge already. But I will follow the drawing themes and post mine in this blog hehehe see you!

Let me just share some picts with you like usual. I'm currently in love with Instagram, I think Instagram is a total genius. Aaah I just love Instagram! For you guys who follows my Twitter you must have known that I post a lot of Instagram picts. Come and follow me hehehe. Okay so this post is going to be a long and random post, be prepared guys! :p

Since my office is located right beside Plaza Senayan, me and my colleagues spent a lotta time there, from having lunch to shopping. My fave thing to do there is having Cold Stone. You gotta try their dark chocolate mix with cheese cake plus crunches of sugar cone. Gossshh its really delicious.

Since a long time ago, I have a thing with skyscrapers, sky and trees. I just love to see them in pictures.

Me and my bf spent a lot of time together in weekends, I can feel that now we had a lot of quality time rather than only seeing each other. This pict was taken at Starbucks in La Piazza. This is our first coffee date :)
