Officially 26

Happy birthday to meeeee!!

I turned 26 last week and it feels just fine. I’m still denying to think that in 4 years I’ll be 30, I’m just trying to enjoy what’s in my life right now and try to do my best in everything. Ok in this post I’ll be talking about my birthday brunch party.

Since a couple of years ago, I’ve been wanting to have a small birthday party with my closest friends. But the time (and my budget) was always not right. I chose to treat myself something pricey instead of having a birthday party. But this year is different. Twenty six is such a real number to me. It’s already past the quarter and by 26, I gotta be better. That refers to my relationship to the closest ones. So I decided to have a small birthday celebration with my family and friends. My favourite time of the day is brunch, so a brunch party it is.

I’d like to share more about the planning, but I’m just overly excited to share these pretty pictures which mostly taken by my lovely R. I’d like to say thank you to the owners and the staff of Breakfast at Cayenne, who were so kind and helpful. The foods were so so so so delicious. My guests loved the Mie Ayam, Breakfast Burrito, Chicken Quesadillas, and the Pineapple Cake. The table setting is also a lovely note. It was already pretty, like so pretty, with all the beautiful dining ware from Cayenne, I only put some signage and pompom to give a touch of ‘me’ on it.

I’d love to thank Brooklyn Cake for the delicious chocolate marshmallow cake. The cake was so fluffy and wasn’t too sweet, just how I love it (I’m not a sweet tooth). The cake is a perfect combination of sweets. The marshmallow on top blends very well with the sponge cake in your mouth. My guests loved the cake a lot!

Another kind hearted person I’d like to thank is Kitty Manu. She’s the one who landed me all the pom pom, paper flowers (on the table) and the giant paper flowers you see in the pictures above.

Lastly, to Putri Avicenna who helped me a lot in brainstorming, venue checking, menu arranging, etc etc etc you-name-it. Thank youuuu! If I didn’t share my to do list with you, I’d probably got crazy already.

That’s all for now, I’ll write another post to share about the birthday party planning because it was so fun that it had me thinking that I should start a party planner business. Haha! See you in the next post!

  • Outfit: Off shoulder blouse, culotte, and cherry earrings are unbranded. My watch is from Daniel Wellington, my black wedges is from UP.
  • Decorations: Paper flowers and pom pom are from Kitty Manu, signage and flamingo is self made.
